COMPANY HISTORY

Foster’s Plastering Contractors was started in 1961 by Eddie Foster. Shortly after, he was joined by his brother Roy,  their father Bill.

The company carried out all aspects of the plastering trade, internal plastering, plasterboard fixing, external rendering, and floor screeds. The company steadily grew, particularly in the 1970’s and 80s, becoming at that time one of the largest plastering companies in Bristol and the South West.

Eddie’s sons, Terry, Peter and Roger, joined the Company in the 1980’s, becoming Directors in 1998 prior to Eddie and Roy retiring from the business later that year.

By this time the Company had reduced in size enabling the company to specialise in external rendering, having seen this sector of the industry grow with coloured renders and external wall insulation systems being specified more frequently.

Originally based in offices in Gloucester Road, Bristol, the company then moved into business premises in Bishopston, Bristol. In 1998, we relocated to a modern business unit, fitted out to our requirements, in the Winterstoke Commercial District of Weston-super-Mare.
